The Union home minister, Rajnath Singh, stated that he would not celebrate Holi this year in the wake of the Pulwama terrorist attack, in which 40 CRPF jawans were killed. In 2017 too, Singh didn't celebrate Holi because of a Maoist attack that killed 12 CRPF jawans.
